Messaging & SMS policy
San Ser Corporation Limited — SANSER
Last updated: 25 March 2026
1. Introduction
This Messaging & SMS policy (“Policy”) supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. It describes how San Ser Corporation Limited (trading as “SANSER”) uses SMS, RCS, and similar messaging channels in connection with purchases of fine jewellery and related services on our website. Unless otherwise defined, terms used here have the same meaning as in our Privacy Policy.
We operate from Hong Kong and process personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) (“PDPO”). Where we use your name, telephone number, or other personal data to send direct marketing (as defined in the PDPO), we do so in line with Part 6A of the PDPO and with any consent or opt-in you have given, including optional marketing consent at checkout.
We distinguish between (a) service and transactional messages necessary to perform our contract with you, comply with law, or protect legitimate interests (e.g. order confirmations, delivery updates, repair or warranty communications, and important account notices), and (b) direct marketing messages promoting our goods, services, or brand. Only category (b) requires your marketing opt-in where the PDPO applies to that use of personal data.
2. Marketing consent and checkout
When you purchase from us, you may optionally consent to direct marketing by SMS or RCS from SANSER (for example new collections, private events, or promotional offers relating to fine jewellery and related services). Marketing messages are sent only if you opt in on the checkout Review step; your preference is stored with your order for compliance and customer-service purposes.
Summary for registration forms: Optional consent at checkout for direct marketing via SMS or RCS from SANSER (new collections, offers, and events). Order and service messages are separate and are described in our Messaging & SMS policy and Privacy Policy.
Order and service messages (such as confirmations, delivery updates, or after-sales notices) may be sent where necessary to perform our contract with you or to comply with law, independently of marketing opt-in, as further described in our Privacy Policy.
A reference screenshot of the checkout consent area for regulators and partners is available at Consent reference (screenshot).
You may withdraw consent for direct marketing or exercise your rights under the PDPO (including in relation to direct marketing) as described in our Privacy Policy and in Section 3 of this Policy. Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
3. What we send and when
After your payment is successfully processed, we may send an order-confirmation message (SMS or RCS) that includes your order summary and a link or action to view full details on our website.
Examples of service and transactional messages include:
- Order, payment, and fulfilment confirmations
- Shipping, delivery, and customs-related updates (where applicable)
- After-sales service, repair status, warranty, or care-related notices relating to your purchase
- Boutique or appointment confirmations and changes (where you have booked with us)
- Security, fraud-prevention, or account-verification messages
Direct marketing: Direct marketing by SMS or RCS (e.g. new collections, private events, or promotional offers for fine jewellery and related services) is sent only if you give optional consent at checkout on the Review step. Your choice is recorded in order metadata (rcs_sms_marketing_opt_in) and may be used to evidence your marketing preferences.
4. Opt-out, STOP, and confirmation
You may opt out of marketing SMS or RCS at any time by replying STOP (or the keyword stated in the message), by using any unsubscribe link we provide, or by contacting us at the details below. We will process your request without undue delay. Opting out of marketing does not withdraw consent that may be required for other processing described in our Privacy Policy, and does not necessarily stop essential service or transactional messages about orders you have placed or services you have requested.
After you opt out of marketing, we may send a one-off confirmation by SMS or RCS. The approved confirmation wording (which must be mirrored in live carrier or Twilio templates) is:
SANSER (San Ser Corporation Limited): You have opted out of marketing SMS and RCS. You will not receive further promotional messages from this sender. We may still send essential service messages about your orders, deliveries, appointments, repairs, or jewellery care where applicable. For account access or enquiries: info@sanser.online. Reply START to resubscribe to marketing.
Configure production messaging templates so that opt-out confirmations match this text unless a carrier requires minor formatting changes only.
5. Channels and processors
Messages may be delivered using telecommunications and messaging platforms (including international routes). By providing your mobile number and, where applicable, opting in to marketing, you acknowledge that delivery may involve processors bound by contract to protect your data in line with our Privacy Policy.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the bottom will change when we do. Continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy where permitted by law; material changes to how we use your data for marketing will be communicated as required by the PDPO and our Privacy Policy.
